The Ogun State Chairman of AMORAN, Alhaji Olawale Ajiboye has broken his silence over an alleged remittance of N22m from the union’s purse.
Ajiboye was reported to have remitted the N22m he made across the 20 Local government areas of the State to the Bank Account of State’s IRS last week for personal use.
Other allegations leveled against him include attempt to bribe the Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Committee for him to remain in office.
To this end, the Chairman has vehemently debunked the allegation, saying that it was unfounded.
Ajiboye who described the allegation as “criminal” said it was concocted by some unknown elements to tarnish his image before the State government.
He explained that the unknown elements, who are serving the inordinate agenda of their paymasters sitting somewhere are being diabolic.
“The truth of the matter is that, the State Government led by Prince Abiodun has dissolved our Excos, we do not have power over the decision being a union, the governor knew those that delivered, the order is to resolve the crisis within the unions across the State”, Ajiboye said.
He then called on the members of public to discountenance the allegations, noting that the Association would continue to maintain and abide by the order given by the State government until the matter is resolved.
