Chiefs and Community leaders of Opeji, have asked their Apex leader, the Balogun of Ibarapa and Asiwaju of Egbaland, to intercede on their behalf with the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, to upgrade their Baale, Chief Adesina Rasak, to the higher position of an Oba in Egbaland.
In their goodwill messages, Opeji Chiefs and other community leaders were unanimous in describing Baale Adesina Rasak, as a game changer, who had assiduously been returning life and development to the area.
Each speaker after another specifically referred to some developmental projects, the Baale had been bringing to the area, without stopping.
The Iyaloja of Opeji, Chief (Mrs) Faizat Adeniyi, euloged the the Baale Opeji, Chief Rasak for resucitating abandoned Local Government Borehole, rehabilitation of Primary schools and getting Computers for them.
The Iyaloja further urged that the Alake and other High Chiefs should continue to support the Baale and the entire people of Opeji by giving them a traditional Monarch as head of the Community.
Chief (Mrs) Abiade, Otun Iyalode Ibarapa and Iyalode Aba-Aka, in her address, said that she was fully aware of how Opeji had been been developing since Chief Adesina became the Baale.
The Otun Iyalode also said there was a Native Court in Opeji which functioned perfectly and served the people in time past, calling for its return.
Chief (Mrs) Abiade said since Adesina Rasak became the Baale, tremendous changes had been the new and happy situation.
Speaking in the same vein, the Sarunmi of Opeji, Chief Muritala, also praised Chief Abdulrasaq for his great works in terms of security, farming, provision of markets and many more.
He added that many other patriotic Egbas and Apex leaders should join and support him in making the community more developed and peaceful.
In his response, the Balogun of Ibarapa’s 12 Townships and Asiwaju of Egbaland promised to deliver their messages to the Egba Apex Monarch for consideration, while at the same time advising the Baale and Opeji people to sustain the renewed tempo of self development.
The Alake’s entourage to the commissioning of the Security outfit, was led by the Asiwaju of Egbaland and Balogun of Ibarapa Egba Communities, High Chief Maxwell Ayinla, who was also the Chief Guest of Honour of occasion.
Others Egba Chiefs present were Aare Baaroyin Layi Labode, Bada AsojuOba Oluwole Odekunle and Otun Itoku, Chief Kinosi.
The Egba Zonal Commander of So-Safe Corps, Chief Najeem Salisu, Chief Moses Ogunrinu – Oluwo Adao, Chief Suraju Bangbopa- Oluwo Idere, Chief Francis Ileyemi – Balogun Adao, Chief Jelili Adeniyi – Jaguna Iro, and many others.
