The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya stated this while addressing pressmen in Abeokuta, urging residents to be patient with the government, as infrastructural amenities would spread across the State.
Engr. Akinsanya assured that ongoing road projects would be commissioned soon, just as other projects would commence, pointing out that, the Ogun State Public Works Agency (OGPWA) was working on roads linking the State to neighbouring States, in order to boast the economic status of the people.
“The catalyst for good economy is good infrastructure, especially roads that link one part to another. So, economically, the construction is going to have a very good impact, standard of living will definitely improve significantly”, he said.

The Commissioner also disclosed that some roads had been grouped into urban, semi urban and rural areas, to be undertaken by Public Private Partnership (PPP) and OGPWA, explaining that township roads would be chemically treated, as it is durable and cheaper to adopt, while gridlock areas in the State had been identified and efforts were in top gear to address the situation.
