Oyo Police Parades 13 Suspected Armed Robbers, Cultists, Others

The Nigerian Police Force Oyo State Command has on Saturday paraded thirteen (13) suspected armed robbers, cultists, as well as fake money dealers in Ibadan.




The development according to a press release signed and issued by the State Police Public Relation Officer DSP Adewale Osifeso was made possible followed by a strategic deployment of intelligence policing assets.

Osifeso in a release made available to journalists in Ibadan, the State Capital stated that the State Police Command under the leadership of CP Ngozi Onadeko recorded yet another feat in its crusade against crime and other vices.

The statement further maintained that the Command’s Monitoring Unit while on purposeful simultaneous intelligence-led raids and strategic surveillance between 13th-26th of May 2021, apprehended hoodlums suspected to be armed robbers and cultists responsible for series of kidnappings, gun-running, rape and Robbery in Oyo town and its surrounding environs.

Osifeso stated that the suspects were arrested in their various hideout while planning to unleash another round of mayhem on innocent citizens in that axis.

Preliminary investigations revealed that they all belong to the infamous Eiye Confraternity and were on a quest to establish supremacy in the axis.

Comprehensive investigations are ongoing to rid the other fleeing members of the group.

The statement gave the names of the suspects as Abass Kamilu, also known as Shawarma 26, Basit Azeez, age 26
Aworonke Asimiyu 32, Olalekan Moruf 27, Rasheed Taiwo 25, Quadri Raheem 30, Wasiu Lekan 22 and Salaudeen Ridwan, 19.

Others are Mustapha Abass 19, Jimoh Afeez 20, Habeeb Idowu AKA Galaxy 17 and Bello Jamiu AKA Aroba 28.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects are one Amulets, Catapult, Weed suspected to be Indian hemp, Two single barrel cut to size pistols, One Double barrel cut to size gun, Locally made Revolver, Two live and one expended cartridges, others exhibits include One black locally made pistol, Red Charm attached to an amulet.
