ABEOKUTA – The General Overseer, Treasure House of God, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Pastor Seye Senfuye has donated foodstuff to Muslims to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir celebration on Tuesday.
Senfuye said the plan was to rejoice and felicitate with the Muslims, as part of the humanitarian gestures of the church to give to the society.
He said he believed in the universality of God and the oneness of all mankind before Him irrespective of religious affiliation, colours or race.
Apart from the feeding programme, the man of God has also donated foodstuff to Muslims communities in the state as a way of showing love and sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim for sacrificing his Son, Ismael.
Pastor Senfuye in a media statement by his Media Consultant, Adeniyi Adeloye said the Man of God believes in the postulates “live and let’s live and holds tenaciously to the idea of “brother’s Keeper”, which according to him, has been practiced by the pastor over the years.
“He is indeed a man of God who at all times considers himself a pencil in the hands of God”, he stressed.
“Pastor Senfuye has donated food items to Muslims to celebrate next week Ileya festival. He is doing this because he believes not many people especially Muslims would have the financial capacity to celebrate the new Muslim calendar year satisfactorily. Therefore, he want to host those who are less privileged among them.
“Not only that, he has given out foodstuff worth millions of naira to the Muslim community as part of felicitation with them.
“The Set Man is a believer in giving a hand to the needy because it is one way to make the world a better place, adding that whatever he does is not to impress anyone, but in line with the commandant of God, the omnipotent, omnipresent, all knowing and benevolent God.
“The man of God is not just doing this, but loves doing his things without attracting publicity. He often believes the just shall live by faith, that it is beneficial to give, knowing that we all need one another, irrespective of classes, divides and creeds. To him Philanthropy is a universal language.”
He therefore charged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians and sustainability our democracy.
