Police Community Relations Committee,Ogun State, Venerable Popoola has expressed great concern on state of I security in Ogun State, particularly, Abeokuta, the State Capital.
Venerable Popoola, who was briefing the Alake on the All Stakeholders Crucial Meeting, holding at the NUT Hall, Kuto Abeokuta tomorrow, explained that the Brainstorming Session would feature, the Traditional Rulers including Baales and Chiefs, the Police, the So-Safe Corps, the Civil Defence, the Hunters and the security groups.
Venerable Popoola disclosed that the PCRC had observed with serious worry, the growing incidents of security breaches in Abeokuta.
Speaking in the same vein, the State Commandant of the So-Safe Corps, Mr Solo Ganzallo, disclosed that criminals were back in Abeokuta after they had disappeared for se time.
Mr Soji Ganzallo said some of the security breaches took place at Lantoro area, in which a member of the Corps lost his life while trying to save lives and properties of the people in that axis of Abeokuta.
He however reassured the Alake that they were on top of the situation and would soon make Abeokuta and the State as a whole a no ho areas for the hoodlums.
In his response, the Alake, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo commanded the PCRC initiatives for being ahead of situation.
The Alake recalled that Abeokuta had always been adjudged the safest in Police Monthly Reports some time ago and therefore urgedthe PCRC, the So-Safe Corps and other allied security agencies to full collaborate to rid Egbaland and other parts of the State of undesirable elements. as this synergy would make them ahead of situation.
He also called for the inclusion of OPC and other security relevant groups.Other members of the PCRC, So-Safe Corps and others that visited the Alake, included Engineer Adesanya, Adatan Area Commandant of PCRC, Chief Salisu-Egba, So-Safe Area Commander, Lika Adenike Bamgboye, and Ojogbon Morouf Kolawole-PRO So-Safe.
Obas and Chiefs present included Aare Ganiyu Babayeju, Oba Muftau Akindele, Alakija Samusideen Ayorinde, Olu-Orile Ikopa, Sarumi MOla Yussuf, Agbaakin Rasheed Raji, Bada-Asojuoba Odekunle and Aare Baaroyin Layi Labode.
