PDP GUBERNITORIAL CANDIDATE FOR OGUN, SOLICIT SUPPORT OF EGBALAND, SUBMITS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

The Governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Buruji Kasamu has reassured the indigenes and residents of Egbaland that he would live up to his promise to sustain and even improve on the great works Senator Ibikunle Amosun had been doing in Egbaland and other parts of Ogun State.

Senator Buruji Kasamu, who was addressing the Egba War Chiefs from all the six Local Governments of Ogun Central Senatorial District in Abeokuta, handed over a promissory note document to the Balogun of Egbaland, High Chief Sikirullah Atobatele.

The document contained what the gubernatorial aspirant, would do in Egbaland and other parts of the State.

Buruji said he appreciated the Egba people for their good organization
adding that he had come to tell the Egba that he was a man of justice.

He disclosed that he had always been supporting Buhari and Amosun because they stood for justice and fairness to all.

The Senator said he would be the Governor of every section of Ogun
In spite of this, he would still make Abeokuta the Capital that all Ogun indigenes would be proud of.

He reiterated that Dr Reuben Abati was selected to fully represent the Egba Nation.

Buruji Kasamu pointed out that, being a business man made him a better politician, adding that entrepreneurs were better people to manage the affairs of the people.

He promised to allow all the Senatorial Districts collectively decide the way forward for Ogun State.

Speaking on behalf of the Egba, Seriki Tosin Fadare said that Egba would want continuity of Ibikunle Amosun’s legacies and pleaded for hitchfree Election without violence.

In his speech, the Balogun of Egbaland, High Chief Sikirullah Atobatele thanked Senator Buruji Kasamu for his respect for the Egba people and told him that Egba had always been very accommodating to all people from all parts of the State and the Nation.

He added that the Egba would collectively decide based on what would be beneficial to the Egba people.
