Ogun State Head of Service (HoS), Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu has expressed optimism that Public Private Partnership (PPP) would enable governments at all levels move Nigeria towards attainment of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.
Engr. Bisiriyu stated this while delivering his speech as Guest Speaker, at the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) 2019 Award and Luncheon for fellows and spouses, held in Lagos, with the theme, “Repositioning the Public Service for Public Private Partnership to Enhance Good Governance”, noting that that globally, PPP arrangement was always the best option whenever there was challenge in the economy.
He stressed that the partnership would further aid provision and maintenance of infrastructures in the country, citing the Ogun State government’s initiative to establish an Investors Promotion Agency, as a case study, he noted that the move would attract investors, as the usual bureaucracies and bottlenecks associated with government agencies would be removed, to reposition the State to its current economical status, as the preferred investment destination of choice in the country.
The HoS enthused that the State’s Civil Service had been repositioned and committed to a viable PPP, to drive the State to greater height in order to ensure government delivers the dividend of democracy to the citizenry.
