The newly installed Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero’s proposed visit to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, His Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, CFR, on Wednesday this week has been put on hold.
According to a Statement at the Ake Palace today, the Host, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo and his August Visitor, deliberated on the situation in the country and mutually agreed to put the proposed courtesy visit off until the atmosphere would be conducive.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who replaced his deposed nephew Muhammad Lamido Sanusi II, on 9th March 2020, was scheduled to pay his first official visit to the Southwest, on Wednesday, October 21st, beginning with the Apex Monarch of Egbaland, the Alake.
However the project was suspended until further notice due to the current, “EndSARS” protests, taking place across the country.
