Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has assured that additional N1bn would be released as compensation package for the remaining people whose property were demolished to give way for road constructions.
Governor Amosun who gave this assurance during an interview after inspecting some ongoing road projects in Abeokuta, noted that his government had so far paid over N9.5 billion on compensation, out of the total N11bn earmarked for the purpose, saying, “with the new N1bn to be released, it would now be N10.5 billion and it will remain N500 million”.
‘’As a government with human face and knowing fully well that those whose property were demolished are our people, I want to assure our people that we will pay all compensations before we leave”, Amosun said.
The Governor added that the affected people at new Ilogbo-Iju and Adigbe-Onikoko demolition would also be catered for, enjoining homeowners in the State to cultivate the habit of securing title documents for their property.

His words ‘’the incoming Governor by God’s grace, will be more pushy in providing more infrastructure because there are lot of our cities that still need these infrastructural development’’.
