RTEAN PAYS ‘THANK YOU’ VISIT TO THE ALAKE

Members of the Road Transport Employer’s Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) paid a courtesy visit to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, on Friday, 9th of April 2021, at the Ake palace, Abeokuta.

The Association Executives led by Alhaji Akibu Titilayo alias Efele, appreciated the Egba Paramount Monarch for his support for promotion of peace and development in Ogun State, especially among the stakeholders in the Transportation of the Nigeria’s economy.

Alhaji Akibu also solicited for the continued support and prayers of the Apex Egba Monarch, so that the current mutual peace and understanding, now existing within the RTEAN as well as with other Road Transportation Operators, would be more enduring and encourage better economic prosperity in Egbaland and Ogun State in general.

Responding, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo, commended the RTEAN, for their resolve to conduct their affairs through mutual understanding.

Oba Adedotun Gbadebo explained that the RTEAN operated in one of the most vital sectors of the economy and must ensure that they always had adequate coordination and peaceful coexistence among Road Workers and Users.

Oba Gbadebo further urged the Association to continue to sustain peace and maintain good use of Ogun State Roads and other facilities like motor parks, bus stops and markets within the vicinity of the their parks

Alake also prayed that the Association would continue to carry out peaceful and successful activities in Ogun State.

Members of the RTEAN entourage that visited the Alake’s Palace on Friday included Alhaji Akibu Titilayo alias Efele – State Chairman also doubles as the National Treasurer of the Association, Aare Tiwalade Akingbade- Ogun State Secretary and South-West Secretary, Chief Segun Johnson- Deputy State Chairman Admin, Chief Yahya Oriyomi- Deputy State Chairman Operation, Mr. Segun Shabi- Deputy State Chairman Logistic & Planning, Alhaji Kayode Inuolaji-State Treasurer, Mr. FOS Folarin-State Financial Secretary, Honourable Adeyemi Adeleye- State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Segun Jolaosho- 6th State Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wakilu Dada- State Chief Whip, Alhaji Mukaila Mustapha- State Asst. Financial Secretary, Alhaji Jelili Kadiri- Welfare Officer, and Alhaji Rasaq Durojaiye- State Trustee, Alhaji Riliwan Lamidi- State Trustee.

Egba High Chiefs present at the occasion included Chief Sikirullah Atobatele – Balogun of Egbaland, Chief Bode Mustapha – Osi of Egbaland, Chief Akanni Akinwale – Baagbimo of Egbaland, Chief Kehinde Sofenwa – Bantun of Egba, and Chief Layi Labode – Aare Baaroyin of Egbaland.
