ABEOKUTA – The embattled Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki, on Monday evening, paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Saraki who stormed Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, OOPL in Abeokuta unannounced around 5:30pm went straight into a closed door meeting with the former President, which lasted about two hours.
The Senate President had, last week, paid a similar visit to former Military Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida at his residence in Minna, Niger State.
Clad in Agbada regalia with white cap, Saraki told reporters after his meeting at 7:15pm that his visit to Obasanjo was a private one.
He said he came to Abeokuta to see Baba Obasanjo having missed the official opening of the multi – billion dollar OOPL project in March, 2017.
He described the Library as a beautiful edifice that should make all Nigerians proud.
“You know I missed the official opening of the library and that is why I have decided to come and see the place and honestly it is beautiful we are very proud of what he has done here,” he said
