The Lado Resource Group has disclosed that the second Ladi Adebutu Good Governance Symposium is to hold tomorrow, Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
According to the organisers of the event, the symposium is an intellectual platform to promote discourse on governance and development in Nigeria.
The symposium is put together by a think-tank created by Hon. (Dr.) Oladipupo Adebutu, a former member of the House of Representatives, to conduct research on a wide range of national issues and offer innovative solutions that will shape policy formation.
The organisers also revealed that the topic to be discussed was “Local Government Autonomy; A Panacea For National Development.”
“Our aim at this year’s symposium is to intensify the calls for true fiscal federalism through the practice of constitutional democracy, a part of which local government autonomy is a route towards equitable and rapid national development.”
It was further disclosed that erudite and constitutional lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) would lead the debate among other notable discussants.
