A private security officer has killed a teenage boy for picking money during a wedding ceremony.
The Incident occurred at the popular Wetland Hotel in the Mofor area Orhowhorun town of Udu Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State.
Newsflagship gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon during the wedding reception at Orhuwhorun Community.
Sources said that the deceased, identified as Oghenemaro Eriana, was said to be a neighbour to the groom at their Kolokolo residence of Enerhen, Uvwie LGA of the state.
Sources also said the deceased teenager trying to assist the newly wed to pick up money sprayed them when the unfortunate incident happened leaving the couple and guest to burst into tears.
The bouncer, Francis Utuedor, had thought the victim was trying to steal the celebrants’ money when he stabbed him in the process.
It was gathered that the deceased had gone to the party with his mother, who lost her first son two months ago.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Command through its Spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the development, saying that the suspect has been arrested.
