The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has denied reports claiming that, some parts of the 22-year-old Bamise Ayanwole, who was abducted and murdered after boarding a BRT Vehicle at Ajah, were mutilated.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Titilayo, the older sister of Bamise, said, while addressing a press conference, that Bamise’s private part was removed by those who attacked her, while she was still alive.
According to the victim’s sister, Bamise died in pain after they cut her private parts, adding that, they didn’t kill her before cutting her private parts.
Responding to the claim, CP Alabi disclosed that, he had been to the mortuary alongside with some members of late Bamise‘s family and there was no evidence to show that any part of her body was mutilated.
The CP also stated that, it has not yet been confirmed, if she was raped, but an autopsy would be conducted on her soon.
He therefore assured Nigerians that, justice would be served on those, who committed such cruel and heartless act
