The Yoruba human rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, said he has the backing of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipe, and other traditional rulers to evict criminal herdsmen from the South West.
Sunday Igboho has given the Fulani herdsmen seven-days ultimatum to vacate Ibarapa community of Oyo State following unremitting criminal activities in the area last week.
Sunday Igboho revealed, on Rave FM at Osogbo during a talk show programme, that aside from Yoruba traditional rulers, other leaders in Nigeria are in support of the eviction of criminal herdsmen.
He said he has the backing of Alaafin, Ooni, Ataoja, and other kings in the southwest. Some other leaders in the country like Fani Kayode, former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, Femi Falana (SAN) among others are backing my actions.
He pronounced that he also received support from
Amotekun corps, Odua People Congress, hunter, to
ensure that he get rid of criminal herdsmen from the southwest.
He made it known that he is only fighting for the peace of the people not for a political ambition.
He said instead of arresting the perpetrators, the Federal Government are now ordering his arrest which is very absurd and uncalled for.
