The Emir of Katsina, Dr Abdul-Mumini Kabir Usman has called out to the federal government to make death sentence, the right judgement for terrorists, adding that, correctional centres was the least expected place for such destructive people like terrorists
The Emir disclosed this, while receiving the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo in the State, on Monday, 31st of January, 2022.
Dr Usman however, expressed delight over the recent prescription, that bandit was terrorist.
He noted that, the government needed to take more strident measures to address the issue of terrorism in the country, adding that, an individual who had killed his or her fellow being should be eliminated and not taken to correctional centre
He stated that, correctional centres would serve as a soft hand on terrorists, whereby, would give them chance to continue in their heinous activities
Responding, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, disclosed that, bandit was classified as terrorist, in order to enable Security Agencies to take more assiduous action on the matter.
Prof. Osinbajo assured the Monarch of significant changes, noting that, effective measures had already been made to ensure that, the issue of insecurity in the State and the country became a thing of the past
