The Lagos State Government Has Finally Spoken On The Opebi’s Vandalism Act.

An official says the properties destruction was an execution of the judgement of the Lagos State High Court.

The reason behind the demolition of properties at 1, Kuku Street, Opebi has been finally made known to the public by the government of Lagos State.

Newflagship recalled that these properties were demolished without notice on the 31st of December, 2020 and the occupants are rendered homeless.

This act of vandalism led to the ejection of many families and the mechanical engineers occupying the vicinity.

Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos State Commissioner for Information, on Sunday said that the state was the only one that gave the Lagos State Special Task Force on Land Grabbers (LSSTF) the audacity to carry out the demolition.

He said a petition was received from the owner of the land to eject the occupants of the land.

Mr. Omotosho added that the demolition was by the judgment of the High Court of Lagos State and also some other government agencies are in support.
