The Egba foremost Business Icon, Philanthropist and Humanist, Chief Olatunde Ayinla Abudu, the Mayegun of Egbaland was the cynosure of all eyes and attention on Tuesday, 15th of March, 2022, as he marks his 93rd Birthday Anniversary at OOPL, Abeokuta 

The occasion featured the first Tunde Abudu Annual Lecture Series, with topic, “Impact of Science And Technology On Agriculture; Schools’ Agricultural Science and Technical Implement Exhibitions, and moving Tributes.

The Ogun State Government Delegation included the Chief of Staff, Shuaib Salisu, Honourable Commissioner for Education, Professor Arigbabuwo, Hon Agriculture Commissioner, Dr Adeola, Hon Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Commissioner Afolabi Afuape, and Head of Service Dr Nofiu Aigoro.

The Chief of Staff, Hon Shuaib Afolabi Salis, delivered one of the most inspirational tributes ever, as he lauded, the Mayegun Egba, Chief Olatunde Abudu on behalf of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

The Royalty, led by the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, had on the Royal Roll call, Osile Oke-Ona Egba Oba Adedapo Tejuoso and his Oloris; Agura Oba Saburee Bakre; and the Olubara Oba Jacob Omolade- (Represented).

Egba High Chiefs included Agoro Egba Doja Adewolu; Aare Baasegun Alabukun Odulate, Bantun Kehinde Sofenwa, Aare Baaroyin Layi Labode

Among the academics were Professor Salako, VC, FUNAAB, represented by a Dean; Professor Akeem Oyekanmi, Prof Adekunle, Dr Tunji Sotoyinbo, Dr Soyooye.

The Egba foremost (Cultural) Abeokuta Club was led by its President, the Onimo-Ero Tokunbo Odebunmi, Trustee Justice Demola Bakre, Chairman, Elders Committee Haj Fatai Lawal, were identifiably present in large numbers.

Educational Institutions included the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Mercyland International School, led by the Proprietor Dr (Mrs) AnuOluwapo Bankole, the Abeokuta Grammar School, (Celebrant’s Alma Mater), Baptist Boys High School and Taidob College.
