The Egba Muslim Organization has got two new Chiefs.
They are Alhaji Sabur Olayiwola Olawale, a Senior Legislator of the Lagos House of Assembly and his wife, Hajia Chief Shakirat.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Saad Bamgbola, said that the new Egba Muslim Chief, had been contributing to the welfare of Muslims both in Lagos and Ogun States, especially Egbaland.
Sheikh Bamgbola noted with satisfaction that Hon Sabur Olawale had been paying his dues as a good Muslim wherever he found himself.
Sheikh Bamgbola further described the Lagos Senior Legislator as a man of excellent moral and Islamic pedigree, in Ijemo and Egbaland, who had continued the family pedigree of love, fairness and generosity.
The Egba Apex Imam called on others Egba sons and daughters, who Allah had progressed and prospered, to give back to their communities in order that Allah to sustain His blessings on them.
Sheikh Bamgbola commended both Arigbabuwo Adeen and his spouse Amiral Arigbabuwo Adeen, urging them not to relent in seeking the happiness and welfare of their fellow humans in their businesses, dealings and even as legislators.
In his acceptance, the Lagos State House of Assembly Senior legislator, Honourable Sabur Olawale, thanked his Ijemo Township Muslim Community for appreciating his few efforts in bringing succour and smiles to his people in Ijemo, indeed in Egbaland, as well as other areas, by given him and his wife Islamic Chieftaincy titles as well as putting them forward for the greater Egba titles.
He disclosed that his background had sufficiently prepared him not to forget his source, while extending goodies to others in Lagos and other areas, adding that a river that forgets its source would dry up.
He promised to continue working with his Lagos businesses associates as well as those in Lagos Assembly to care for the poor and the needy.
Honourable Sabur Olawale also pledged to continue to add values do better the lives and living conditions of his people in Egbaland and Lagos.
The new Arigbabuwo Adeen Egba and his wife, Amiral Arigbabuwo Adeen Egba, were accompanied to the short but beautiful conferment of the titles by some distinguished Lagos State House of Assembly legislators, personalities and Ijemo and Egba top notchers.
The Lagos dignitaries and Lawmakers in attendance included Rauf Age Suleiman, Amuwo Odofin 2; Nureni Akinsanya, Musin1; Hon Kenhinde Joseph, ALIMOSO 2;
Others were Hon Shobande Kayode, Chief Akanni Ayansola, Prince Adeyemi Oke and CaptainFemi Odusola rtd as well as NudgNUDGOSA Representatives.
The Egba Muslim Community leaders and Chiefs present at the occasion included Balogun Abdukadir Orunsolu, Seriki Abdul Lateef Abiola, Babasele Obamewa Kusiimo, Bada Sheriff Ogunrinde, Basorun Sakiru Akingbade, Ogboye Muyideen Adekunle, Alafin Musbau Babarinsa, Agbaakin Nureni Oshundairo, Olootu Tunji Kalejaye and Aare Layi Labode.
