The Foremost Business man and Philanthropist, the Odole Oodua, Sir Kesington Adebukola Adebutu has never undertaken any incompleted projects to date.
Delivering his father’s good will message at the Commissioning of the ‘Sir Kesington Adebukola Adebutu Legacy Hall,’ the swearing in Abeokuta Sports Club of new executives as well as Induction of new members; the Lisa Aje of Egbaland and son of the Odole, High Chief Oladipupo Adebutu, said that, he strongly believed that his father, patriarch of the Adebutu Clan would ever do so.
Chief Oladipupo Adebutu, otherwise known Lado, said that the legacy hall was donated by his father for the relaxation of the people of Ogun State, Nigeria and other humans that would need such facility for relaxation and business and social contact.
Chief Lado stated that, no one should be surprised that the foundation of the Legacy Hall, was laid five months ago by the Alake and Paramount Rule of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, and was being commissioned in less than half a year.
He congratulated the Life Patron, Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, and the Patron, Abeokuta Sports Club, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and the President, Abeokuta Sports Club, Chief Sola Egbesola, as well as entire members of the Club for paying their dues to the development of the Club.
He also pledged that, as an active member, himself, he would continue to morally and financially support the Club in growth and development.
In his address, after commissioning of ‘Sir Kesington Adebukola Adebutu Legacy Hall,’ Nigeria’s Former President and Life Patron of the Club, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, noted with total satisfaction that, continuous landmark development had been accompanying the reign of Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo as Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, in the past sixteen years
Chief Obasanjo commended the Sir Kesington Adebutu, for his proverbial contributions to the development of humanity in many areas of endeavours.
He said, he was not surprised that, the conceptualisation and completion of the Legacy Hall took only five months, adding that Sir Kesington Adebutu was always to be trusted in everything he said.
Chief Obasanjo called on the President of the Club and the Membership to make good use of the facility
In his welcome address, the President, Abeokuta Sports Club, Engr Sola Egbesola said that Sir Kesington Adebutu was one of the greatest Philanthropists in Nigeria, adding that, his donation of multi million and ultra modern legacy hall shall be an enduring legacy that would be enjoyed by many generations of the Club Members.
The President said that, Sir Kesington Adebutu by this singular act, had reconfirmed the more than ‘a century old Abeokuta Sports Club,’ not only as a foremost but also as a best of his kind in the West Africa.
Also addressing the new members, President Egbesola said that, they had been chosen among many applicants, adding that they should count themselves special and take advantage of the tradition, brotherhood and friendship of the Sports Club.
