The Nawair-ud-deen Society of Nigeria which was founded in Abeokuta more than 80 years ago, was not only setup because of religion, but also for the Western Education and Civilization.
Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo noted that, Nawair-ud-deen Society was the first Muslim Society founded in Egbaland and it had since produced highly placed Nigerians such as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Chief Medical Director, Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta.
The Egba Apex Monarch therefore urged the society to improve on their educational activities by also setting up a university like it’s counterpart Ansar Ud Deen, Amadia and other society.
He also prayed that, the 27th Triennial Conference of the society would be successful.
Oba Gbadebo assured the Muslim Society that, they would always be welcomed in Egbaland, adding that, they stood for the peace and unity of the nation
