Abeokuta-The Egba Muslim Community on Friday honoured three Egba Gbagura Muslim Leaders.
They were Alhaj Jimoh Akanni Adisa as the Irawo; Alhaj Tajudeen Adisa Olori as the Aranse and Alhaja Monsurat Tejumade Bakre as the Osi Iya Adeen Egbaland.
Welcoming the new Chiefs into the Egba Muslim Community, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Liadi Orunsolu, said the three persons had been found to be of good character, commitment and confirmed to be deeply religious in Islamic faith and propagation.
Delivering a sermon on the occasion, the Alfa Taosir, Alhaji Dr Taofeeq Amolegbe, admonished the new Chiefs to dedicate themselves to the way and strives for the cause of Allah.
Dr Taofeeq Amolegbe said they had been honoured so that they would be among those who would be saved on the day of judgement.
The officiating Clerics on the occasion, led by the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Liadi Orunsolu, included Imam Oke Ona, Haj Musiliu Nasiru; Imam Gbagura, Professor Kamal Balogun; Imam Owu, Suleiman Kehinde; Imam Ijaye, Haj Musbau Musa Olomu and Imam Ibara, Tajudeen Fakorede.
Among Egba Muslim Chiefs present were; The Osi Egba, Haj Tajudeen Adisa; the Seriki, Haj Lateef Ayoola Ibrahim; the Bada, Sherrif Abiola; the Olootu, Layi Labode; the Ogboye, Sakiru Akinmade; the Baajiki, Alani Kafidipe; and Haj Semiu Sodipo, the Saraki Adeen
Prominent Gbagura and other Personalities included Haj (Chief) Nurudeen Balogun, Balogun Ira; Giwa Gbagura, Atanda; The Alatunse Egba; The Ekerin Gbagura, Haj MUSBAU Ogunrombi; Balogun Gbagura and an Egba Muslim community leader Haj Taoheed Awodele.
The turbaning of the Gbagura Chiefs was also witnessed by Egba Prominent Women Chiefs, including Turaki Obinrin Egba, Alhaja Mariam Adetoun Adenitan; Hajia Caroline Atobatele Balogun; Hajia Tosin Fadare Seriki; Otun-Iyalode Egba Hajia Oloyede; Hajia Halima Modupeola Labode;
