TOLU ODEBIYI IS HEIR-APPARENT TO SUCCEED SENATOR IBIKUNLE AMOSUN AS GOVERNOR OF OGUN STATE IN 2019

The son of a former Senator of the representing Yewa Egbado North and Egbado South, late Jonathan Odebiyi, has been chosen by the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun as a veritable successor as the helmsman in Ogun State.

He is Senator Amosun’s Chief of Staff, Chief Tolu Odebiyi.

Senator Ibikunle Amosun bestowed Chief Tolu Odebiyi with the governorship ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year elections.

Amosun formally announced his choice after the APC National Convention in Abuja.

The governor, however disclosed that :his decision, would not preclude other gubernatorial aspirants from contesting the party’s primary to be held at a later date.

Other Governorship Aspirants from Yewa Senatorial District, who had openly been longing for the ticket from same party is, included the Speaker of the State Assembly-Rt. Hon. Suraju Adekanbi.

New Telegraph Newspaper exclusively reported that that the Governor Amosun made his choice of successor known at a marathon meeting held at the weekend where issue of new state executive of the party was also finalized.

Among other gubernatorial aspirant from Yewa Awori Senatorial District of the the State include, Prince Gbenga Nasir Isiaka, GNI who is making the third attempt and was said to be enjoying the backing of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senator Abiola alias YAYI and Hon. Isaq Akinlade.
