TOWARDS PREVENTION OF COVID19, LISABI ELITES CLUB DONATES 250 FACE MASKS AT AKE.

An Egba Sociocultural Organisation, the Lisabi Elites Club, has enabled 250 people with face- masks towards government directives on prevention from contacting Corona virus.

Receiving the materials at the Ake Palace today, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, commended Egba Cultural Clubs, individuals, as well as Corporate bodies in Egbaland for supporting the Egbas and their resident non Egba neighbours.

Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, who was speaking during the donation exercise of Covid19 Face Masks by the Lisabi Elite Club at the Ake Palace on Friday, expressed satisfaction that Egba Cultural Clubs, individuals, as well as companies based in Egba territories had been answering his clarion call to assist their immediate communities especially during this health emergency.

The Alake also recalled that Lisabi Elite Club had been playing vital and major roles in the social, cultural, and economic development activities of Egbaland since its inception almost 50 years ago.

He particularly commended the new executive, headed by the Club’s President, the Bada AsojuOba of Egbaland, Chief Oluwole Odekunle, urging him to keep the flag of Lisabi Elite Club flying and even add more values.

Speaking earlier, the President of Lisabi Elite Club, Chief Odekunle, told the Alake that the Club had been distributing Palliatives in many other communities across Egbaland and was still planning to extend its palliatives to other areas.

Chief Odekunle disclosed that in regard to the Alake’s call, the Lisabi Elites Club, started to give relief materials to its immediate community and neighbours at Elites Club environs and beyond.

Chief Oluwole Odekunle reassured the Alake that the Lisabi Elite Club, collectively, and individually would continue to uphold the ideals of the Egba nation which included unity and development as well as caring for the welfare of neighbours.

The Lisabi Elites Club also donated some of the Face Masks to two members of the Egba Traditional Council, the Onisaga of Isaga and Onijale of Ijale Papa, Oba Michael Aderounmu.

Among the entourage of the Lisabi Elites Club led by the its President and Bada AsojuOba Egba, Chief Wole Odekunle, were Aare Bobagunwa and immediate Past President, Chief Victor Adebayo; First Vice President, Chief Wole Akintola; Second Vice President,Dr. Lukmon Odunbamku, and immediate Past President; Mr Mukadas Adedamola Adesina, Club’s House Chairman; Comrade Kunle Oderinde, Social Secretary; and Mr.Kunle Oyesiku, the Treasurer.

The donation at Ake was witnessed by two Egba Chiefs; the Bantun, Chief Kehinde Sofenwa, and the Aare Baaroyin, Chief Layi Labode alongside the Palace officials including Chief Femi Ogunmokun and Mrs Oyewunmi Oladipo-Segun.
