TRAFFIC LAWS: TRACE BOSS CAUTIONS O-PAY RIDERS

The Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) will apprehend and punish O-PAY riders, who violate the State’s traffic laws.

Corps Commander and Chief Executive Officer, TRACE, Commander Olaseni Ogunyemi made this known during a courtesy visit by officials of O-PAY to TRACE headquarters in Abeokuta, saying any rider transporting two passengers without safety helmets would be punished, in accordance with the traffic laws.

Commander Ogunyemi said that the agency was saddled with the responsibility of traffic management, to ensure safety of lives by enforcing traffic laws on road users, urging O-PAY motorcycle riders and their passengers to use safety helmets at all times.  

Speaking on behalf of O-PAY, Director, Business Operations, Mr. Moses Awolowo, explained that the company’s objective was to ease the transportation of people and goods within the State, by employing a technological approach to ensure safety and security of riders.
