Tunwase of Egbaland, Others For Honours As Lisabi Elite Club Turns 50

As part of the activities marking the 50th Anniversary of the Lisabi Elite Club, some notable members are to be honoured.

Among those to be honoured is the Tunwase of Egbaland, Chief Mukaila Atanda.

Chief Atanda, a former President of the Club will be decorated as the Vice-Patron of the Club, on Friday, 26th of November, 2021.

The current President of Lisabi Elite Club, Chief Oluwole Odekunle disclosed this to Newsflagship, adding that other activities lined up for the occasion on Friday, included the Induction of new members, on the Presidential night.

Speaking on the qualities of the awardee, President Odekunle said that Chief Mukaila Atanda, during his tenure, brought so many developments to the Club.

According to him, Chief Mukaila Atanda built a Chalet for the Club, called the White House Chalet during his tenure.

Besides, he announced that the 50th Anniversary had begun on Thursday, 25th of November, 2021, with a lecture tagged: “Socio-Cultural organisations and National Development,” held at Chief Sesan Soluade Hall, Lisabi Elite Club, Abeokuta.

The anniversary lecture was delivered by Prof Layi Erinoso, while the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Saburee Babajide Bakre, was the Royal father of the day.

On Friday, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, is expected as the Special Guest of Honour, while the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Grand Patron of Lisabi Elite Club, would also be present.
Also expected is Ambassador Toye Abiola Okanlawon as the Chairman of the occasion.
