ABEOKUTA – The Ogun State employees of Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), Omu- Ijebu, Ogun State, and the labour leader have again solicited for God’s intervention through prayers and called on Ibikunle Amosun-led administration to forgive their sins and shortcomings to pay their outstanding salaries and arrears.
Mr. Daniel Aborisade, Chairman, Coalition Staff Union of the College, stated this at a prayer sessions and press conference organised for God’s intervention in the payments of their salary and arrears, held at the College Conference Hall, Omu- Ijebu, Ijebu, Ogun State.
Aborisade said that the present administration of Amosun was owing TASCE workers 29 months’ salaries while Otunba Gbenga Daniel administration owed them seven months with 48 salary arrears, noted that most of their members have died in this cause.
He said that it was a pity that government doesn’t care about their plights and predicaments.
He admonished the fellow workers to be forthright and committed to the struggle of the college, adding that the employees would collect nothing less than 100 percent of their salary arrears, as the union was really committed to collecting full salaries.
“As we are in prayer and press conference session today in our college, we need nothing less than 100 percent of our salaries and arrears, I don’t why we would for two to three years without being paid, we are on top of the situation and God willing, we will have all our salary paid to us”, Aborisade said.
He said Governor Amosun has tactically abandoned TASCE for the reasons best known to him, adding that government was owing them several months of unremitted pension and cooperative deductions, which has led to untimely death of 47 staff of the college.
