The Ogun State Government had been paying it’s dues to the needy, the underprivileged and the youth, in need of support and empowerment.
This was disclosed by the Chef of Staff to Ogun State Government, Alhaji Afolabi Salisu during a Government Luncheon organised for the League of Imam and Alfas at Presidential Lodge, GRA, Abeokuta to mark this year Eid-El-Fitri on Monday, 2 May, 2022
Addressing the Ogun Muslim League of Imams and Alfas, the Chief of Staff, appreciated the Clerics for their conversation and collaboration in extending welfare to widows, the needy and the poor as well as youth artisans and others, sourced through the League.
Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu explained further that, the State Government thanked the Muslim leaders for their consistent support and prayers for the Dapo Abiodun’s led administration at any given time they were invited, even at very short notice.
He noted that in appreciation of the League’s cooperation, they were all being remunearated regularly alongside the Christian counterparts.
Alhaji Salisu disclosed that, cooperation and collaboration with religious bodies was helping to identify and reach out to the underprivileged for government direct assistance adding that, they should continue to support Dapo Abiodun’s Leadership of Ogun State.
In his goodwill message at the occasion, a former Ogun State Deputy Governor, Senator Sefiyu Gbenga Kaka, urged Governor Dapo Abiodun to be consistent in portraying his leadership antics in all spheres of governance .
Senator Kaka prayed a successful second tenure for the Governor, arguing that Prince Dapo Abiodun had paid his dues to earn him a second term.
Also speaking at the occasion, the BabaAdeen of Egbaland, Rtd Captain Rasheed Raji described the Governor as an accomplished and compassionate administrator.
He prayed that, the Almighty who saw Prince Dapo Abiodun through the first term who surely guide him into the second term in office, come 2023.
