The Ogun State Police Command has vowed not to relent in its effort at making the State a crime free zone among the comity of States.
The State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama made this known during the commissioning of the Nigeria Divisional Police Headquarters at Onigbongbon, Atan Ota in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area, donated by the community.
Makama explained that telephone numbers of Police Control Room would be made available to the public, adding that boxes would be placed at strategic places for residents to drop their complaints, charging the Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee to always forward complaints directly to his office for prompt action.
The Police Commissioner promised that every nook and cranny of the state would be habitable for residents, as the police was resolute to prompt discharge of their duties.
The Atan–Ota Divisional Police Officer, Abiodun Salau, thanked the Commissioner of Police, for his efforts towards making the State crime free, appealing to him to deploy more officers and Patrol vehicles to the Division.
The Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee, Comrade Olalekan Abatan said, the 25 Million Naira edifice donated to the Police was purely a community initiative towards curbing insecurity as well as fostering the Socio-economic activities of the area.
