The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says his administration will perform better when the 2020 budget is passed by the State House of Assembly, just as his government was able to achieve a little with the inherited budget of the immediate past administration in the State.

The Governor stated this at a Christmas Thanksgiving held at the Emmanuel Villa, Iperu- Remo, adding that his government would do a lot more once the budget is passed before the end of the year.

“We have done our bit in the last six months, operating with the budget we inherited. I believe that the House of Assembly will be passing our budget before the end of the year by the grace of God, meaning that we will be able to do much more because we have put together a budget that encapsulates our vision”, he said.

The Governor added that his administration was committed to the provision of focused and qualitative governance, while creating an enabling environment for Public Private Sector Partnership, so as to be distinguished as inclusive, participatory, transparent and accountable.

Maintaining that he bear no grudge against anyone that worked against his emergence as governor, Abiodun said, “You know at times, God uses different people as instruments for his testimony, for those that opposed me, they were indeed instruments in the hands of God for me to achieve my destiny. If Judas did not betray our Lord, we will not have Christ die and rise again”.

In his sermon, the Bishop of Ijebu South-West Anglican Communion, Rev. Babatunde Ogunbanwo, said people give gifts out of obligation, exhibition, compensation, compassion and appreciation, adding that love, which was the reason why God gave the world, His son, Jesus Christ, should be embraced by all.

Ogunbanwo urged the Governor to forgive those who have sinned against him in the spirit of the season and continue the good work he has started in the State.
