What Nigeria Is Facing Now Is A Phase That Would End Soon- Alake


Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has made it known that Nigeria’s situation is a phase that would end soon.

Oba Gbadebo gave this remark, during a courtesy visit of Law Students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, at the Ake Palace on Monday, November 29th, 2021.

Alake noted that Nigeria is destined to be a great nation, adding that nothing would stop her from attaining that standard.

While addressing the Law Students,  he urged them to be partakers in making Nigeria, a better nation for other nations to see.

Alake stated that, youths are the future, adding that they should keep having faith in Nigeria, not involving in criminal acts,

Oba Gbadebo advised them to aspire to get to any level, adding that the sky is not their limit, where as they can go higher.

He also noted that it’s knowledgeable, knowing little about every subject and knowing so much about law, which is their discipline.

The Egba Apex Monarch appreciated the Students for their visit to the Palace.

Speaking earlier, Barrister Oji Franklin stated that, they are having a Law Dinner and Convention at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and they would be privileged to have the Egba Apex Monarch at the Event which is coming up in February.

He added that it is an annual event, where they celebrate Law in Practice, Academics and also to mark the training ground of Young Lawyers in Nigeria.

He noted that, Alake is not just a Traditional Ruler that upholds justice, equity and trait of conscience but a man who is highly respected and had decided a lot of traditional cases.

Speaking further, he advised the upcoming barristers to work hard and take the path of justice and honesty.

Barrister Franklin reiterated that, Nigeria, as it stands, needs justice, equity, good conscience, so as to move forward.

He noted that with Lawyers, Nigeria can be a great nation, adding that, when there are good Lawyers, there would be a good interpretation of the law.

The Barrister also added that, when law is properly interpreted, it would enable people to know the position of law and follow it.

People in attendance were, Mr Sosanolu Olusoji, Mr Onah Darlington, Mr Anya Emeka, Mr Odoh Martin, Mr Ottah Nelson, Miss Ezedinma Ifeoma, Miss Chukwu Ijeoma, LAWSA President, Mr Theophilus Justice O.

The Chiefs Present were, Osi of Egbaland, Chief Bode Mustapha, Aare Baaroyin of Egbaland, Chief Layi Labode, Onitafin, and  Bantu of Egbaland, Chief Kehinde Sofenwa.
