Covid 19 Presidential Task Force has denied the disqualification of Nigeria from the beneficiaries of the Pfizzer vaccine.
The Task Force, reacting to a widely circulated media reports, strongly said that that Nigeria was still qualified for Pfizzer covid 19 vaccines.
The report we got earlier this morning was that the World Health Organization has disqualified Nigeria and eight other African countries as part of the 13 African countries that would benefit from Pfizer covid 19 vaccines
The disqualification was said to have been based on a disclosure by the WHO spokesperson in Geneva, after the review of applications from the 13 African countries, including Nigeria, alongside with other eight African countries, lacking in preparedness to receive, store and administer the Vaccines.
She disclosed further that, Nigeria lacked the capacity to store the vaccines at -70°, adding that, this was the minimum cold storage required for the vaccine.
The WHO concluded that, the Covid-19 pffizzer Vaccines were very expensive adding that, it would be not be fair economically and health wise to even loose one dose of the Vaccines.
However, this afternoon, the Covid 19 Presidential Task Force in Nigeria declared that Nigeria was very much still in the race, to qualify for the pfizzer vaccines.
