The Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has been speaking on his alleged endorsement of the National Leader of the Action Peoples Congress, APC, Ashiwa Bola Tinubu as his favorite Presidential Candidate
Speaking Arise Television Programme on Friday, 20 May, 2022,, Oba Adeyeye told the Arise that, he was a topmost Yoruba Traditional Ruler, adding that, he shouldn’t therefore behave in any negative stance or manner to any visiting son and daughter of the Yoruba Nation or any friendly visitor.
The Ooni Ile-Ife further explained that, the Ooni as an institution, dated back to thousands of years, which must be courteous to the sons of Odua and others.
The Ooni Orisa pointed out that, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as a former Nigerian State Governor and iconic son of the Yoruba race, had free access to the palace and his blessings, including any other great Nigerians.
Oba Adeyeye therefore noted that, it was unfortunate that, Nigeria had not achieved the choice of leadership by non-ethnic and religious considerations, thereby denying the nation the very best for the country.
The On it is hard added that, he was full of hope that, ethnicity and religious considerations in choosing the President of the federation would soon be a thing of the past.
