WORKERS AND POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS ARE PARTNERS IN PROGRESS- HOS

Ogun State Head of Service, Tpl (Mrs.) Amope Chokor, has stressed the need for Civil Servants and political office holders to work as a team, in order to take the State to an enviable height.

Mrs. Chokor stated this while receiving Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (ARHSPS) members, who were on a courtesy visit to her office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying political office holders should see Permanent Secretaries as partners in progress.

She said Ogun workers would tap from the wealth of experience of the retired HoS and Permanent Secretaries, promising that the entire workforce would not disappoint them.

‘’We will continue to tap from your wealth of experience and please, continue to help us. We know that you are there for us and we will not disappoint you.

Whenever you have the opportunity to meet our political office holders, don’t forget to tell them to partner with us to really achieve success. They have to partner with their Permanent Secretaries, work as a team and they need to understand civil servant are there to sustain legacy laid by them”, she said.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Association, Otunba Babatunde Osokoya congratulated the HoS on her appointment and thanked Governor Abiodun for prompt and regular payment of their pension before 25th of every month, promising to support the workers and Government on advisory role whenever they call to them.

Also, the Department of Foreign and International Development, led by Mr. Ifeanyi Ugwuoke and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Ogun State Branch, led by Mr. Oluwole Aboyade, were on courtesy visits to the Head of Service to congratulate her on her appointment, pledging their unalloyed support to the present administration.
