Commendations have been going to the International Breweries Limited for cerebrating the 2022 World Environment Day, WED, with pomp and ceremony as well as all-inclusiveness.

The Bottling Company’s celebration of the World Environmental Day was with pomp and pageantry which added some fun to the to the sensitisation through music, songs and dances.

The celebration started at the Plant with a Safety meeting which has over 200 employees in addition to Volunteers in attendance

It was followed by presentations from the Plant Manager, Akintayo Oguntunde, Adekemi Makinde, Safety and Environment Controller, Gboyega Adesegun as well as Lamina, both Safety and Environment officials at the plant.

Also delighted to be part of the celebration was Sijuade, a Circular Packaging Advocate, who fortunately was one of the company’s Kickstart Awardee for 2021.

The plastic bottles picked during the cleaning exercise were donated to Sijuwade as CSR from IBPLC.
The partners at the plant too, were not left behind, as they did oratory citation focusing on the theme for the day.

Other activities carried out in commemoration of the day include quizzes and games, which saw many carting away prizes such as T-shirts, Umbrellas, malt drinks and much more.

The Plant Reception was beautified, while flowers were also planted in the premises.

Other volunteers went around to check for tap leakages, and tagged them, all in a bid to connect with the Water Stewardship Goals under sustainability.
