The Outgoing Provost of the Federal College of Education Osiele, Dr Adetayo Ayodele Ajayi, was full of praises and thanks for the Alake, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
Dr Adetayo Ayodele Ajayi who had come with the College Management Team to bid the Egba Apex Monarch a farewell at the end of his two-term tenure, prostrated to show the extent of his gratitude to Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
Dr Adetayo Ajayi disclosed that he had accompanied the Chairman and Members of the Council of FCE, Osiele, in April 2012 as the Deputy and Acting Provost, when at the end of the exercise, Alake prayed for him and asked the Lord to cause his becoming the next Provost, which came pass.
He said he had come to say, a heart felt appreciation to the Egba Paramount Ruler as his mentor and role model as he had ended his tenure with enduring legacies.
Dr Adetayo Ajayi added that FCE Osiele had been a great Beneficiary of the Ifa Prediction that Egbaland would witness stupendous growth and development during the reign of the 10th Alake, with many landmark achievements by the FCE.
These include the FCE becoming a degree awarding College, in collaboration with the University of Ibadan in five sessions with many First Class results.
He also disclosed that Part Time Degree Programme for interested Public servants and others in the State among many other landmarks.
Dr Ajayi now on transfer, wanted to say a Royal goodbye.
The outgoing Provost thanked Alake for his invaluable assistance.
He also enjoined the Alake to work and pray for the acting Provost, Rafiu Soyele, who he described as hardworking, loyal, combining intelligence with brilliance.
In his response the Alake, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo said that Egbaland Egbaland was an accommodating and a land of opportunities for all.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo said that the friendly and accommodating disposition of Egbaland, gave equal treatments to all including residents.
Alake revealed that his interest in the FCE was in the teaching profession, of which , His Majesty is a veritable one.
Alake congratulated the outgoing Provost for being a most successful CEO adding that his adroit, focused and committed leadership aided his prayer for him to come to fruition, pointing out that prayer without concomitant hardworking would to naught.
Alake wished the outgoing Provost the best in his next endeavours.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo noted with satisfaction that Dr Adetayo Ayodele Ajayi’s positive comments on his Deputy, agreeing that since Dr Soyele was said to be loyal, dedicated and foresighted, Alake prayed that Dr Soyemi would rise to the post of the substantive Provost.
The entourage of the Provost included Dr Rafiu Adekola Soyele, Dr Gabriel Adetayo, Registrar; Adebola Adesina, Director of Information; Mr Adegbite, ADR Registrar; and Mrs Ronke Sogunle.
High Chiefs Present were Balogun Sikirullah Atobatele, Seriki Tosin Fadare; Aare Ganiyu Babayeju; Aare Baaroyin Layi Labode, Baamowe Delano Adelekan; Bada Asojuoba Wole Odekunle; and Aare Bobagunwa Victor Adebayo. Others were Aro Yinka Kufile and Bantun Kehinde Sofenwa.
